Okay, Bay Areans...Get ready for the best Sacto band that debuted live in 2011!
Screature is taking their show outta the Central Valley for the first time this Saturday, January 21, at Amnesia in San Francisco!
Their awesome brand of postpunk is propelled by a cool, moody rhythm section of bass-organ and drums, but any semblance of The Doors ends right there. The killer psych-punk guitar recalls Helios Creed's best work in Chrome, and singer Liz lends amazing mystique and power with that dusky voice and stage command. What tinge of gothy-ness exists flows freely and naturally--without irony and with judicious restraint--and the band is surely riveting enough to rock you. Fuzzbox Flynn and I are planning to make the drive down.
