Unnatural Helpers live on KDVS

Last night on Exodus: the Return Home hosted by DJ Oddy Knocky with special guest DJ Klinger, the Unnatural Helpers played a short, but sweet set live on the air, and now you can hear a whole eight songs of their clever smart-yin/dumb-yang garagepunk. The set begins at about the 67-minute mark of this two-hour program.

Download the mp3 AT THIS LINK within the next 10 weeks, or stream it AT THIS LINK before September 18, 2007.

This is the cover of their new self-titled CD.

Just wondering how you ended up putting the Algebra Mothers on here. I actually saw them perform live once, bought the 45 when it was new, etc., but that was decades ago...

Well, I wasn't picking the tunes that night, but DJ Klinger's been addicted to that "Strawberry Cheesecake" song by the A-Moms since she was a precocious teenaged encyclopedia of Killed By Death-era nuggets. It probably had something to do with pulling out some Algebra Suicide to pay tribute to their dearly departed vocalist, and the A-Moms record was right next door in the KDVS record library. Hope we brought back all good memories of the band for you!

Much thanks for doing so. I'm just as addicted to that song, and those other MI rock fans who know of it fall into the same pattern. It's a gem, alright. It came out circa '78 or '79.
